The year 2020 has already thrown many challenges our way. More than ever before, we have come to realise just how important solidarity and teamwork are. We therefore count ourselves lucky to have a community in which we support one another and work together towards a common goal. We would like to thank the entire Taus Gym community – members, staff and instructors – for their positive contribution during these times. We have great confidence in the future and are really looking forward to the day when we can get together again as we used to!
In this edition of the newsletter, we’ll be discussing the upcoming annual Taus Gym BBQ. We’d also like to update you on the current situation and the measures in place, the Krav Maga class for young people in Breda, the Krav Maga exams and the new Women-Only Course.
The current situation
Thanks in part to the dedication and perseverance of our members, we have been able to organise safe training sessions. We greatly appreciate our members’ respect for the measures that had to be put in place, and we continue to value this. To give something back, we would like to present all members with a one-of-a-kind Taus Gym collector’s item T-shirt! These will be distributed during September.
To maintain these positive developments, it is important that we continue to follow the necessary measures. This means that we ask you to stay at home if you, or anyone in your household, is unwell. We have hand sanitiser available in the gym and near the toilets. You must sanitise your hands upon arrival. All members have helped out with cleaning the equipment used over the past few weeks. We’d like to thank everyone for this and ask you to continue doing so in the coming weeks!
The annual Taus Gym BBQ
The annual Taus Gym barbecue comes at just the right time. A time when, after such turbulent times, we can finally get together again!

Krav Maga for young people is now available in Breda too!
From the new season onwards, we’ll also be in Breda Krav Maga classes for (12–16 years old)! These sessions will take place every Monday from 24 August, from 5.30 pm to 6.15 pm. Are you, or do you know someone, interested in taking part? If so, sign them up for a free taster session via this link!
Krav Maga exams
We’d like to give our members the chance to sit the exams. We haven’t been able to train together for a while, but we know that many of you have still been working hard! Are you interested? Then take a look at this page for information about the upcoming pre-tests and exams.
Women-Only Course
This coming October, we’re launching another women-only course! It will start on 26 October and take place every Monday until 21 December. During this 9-week course, women will learn how to defend themselves in situations they might encounter in everyday life. On this page Find out more about the Women Only Course.
