Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS)

The missing link in resilience and self-defence

TARS

Learn to recognise, prevent and manage threats before a situation escalates.

When most people think of self-defence, they think of punches, kicks and physical techniques. But the reality is that most dangerous situations begin much earlier than that.

A change in behaviour. Someone who is getting closer and closer. A person who behaves differently from those around them. A situation that just doesn’t feel quite right.

It is precisely at this stage that the greatest influence can often still be exerted. By identifying threats at an early stage, communicating effectively and making the right choices, many escalations can be prevented.

During the course Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS) you’ll learn exactly how to do this.

This course has been developed on the basis of many years’ practical experience in delivering self-defence training to individuals, businesses and government organisations. The emphasis is not on fighting, but on awareness, prevention and decision-making.

Would you like to go about your daily life with greater awareness, confidence and peace of mind?

Then sign up for Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS) and find out how to spot threats sooner, prevent situations from escalating and act with greater confidence when it really matters.

Why?

Why take this course?

Our regular Krav Maga classes focus primarily on the moment when a situation has already turned physical. You’ll learn how to defend yourself effectively when violence can no longer be avoided.

Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS) is a valuable addition to this. The course focuses specifically on everything that happens before a physical confrontation.

You’ll learn to recognise threats sooner, assess situations more accurately, communicate effectively and prevent situations from escalating. As a result, in many cases you won’t actually need to use physical self-defence.

Together, Krav Maga and TARS provide a comprehensive approach to personal safety and self-defence.

What will you get out of this course?

On completion of this course:

  • Spot unusual behaviour more quickly.
