prepare for an exam
Would you like to progress to the next level in Krav Maga? If so, the pre-test is an important step in preparing for your exam. During the pre-test, we’ll assess your current level, identify which techniques you’ve already mastered, and pinpoint areas where you could do some extra work ahead of the official exam.
What’s the best way to prepare, and what can you expect during the pre-test? Below you’ll find all the practical information and useful tips for children, young people and parents.
PRE-TEST
What is the pre-test?
The pre-test is an important part of preparing for the official IKMF exam. During this training session, we look at what is already going well and where there is still room for improvement.
You don’t need to have mastered all the techniques perfectly just yet. The instructors will be watching and giving you personalised feedback, so you’ll know which areas to practise more in the run-up to the exam.
The pre-test is largely the same as the actual exam. This way, you’ll already know what to expect and can then focus your further practice accordingly. It’s a good way to work towards your exam step by step and with confidence.
The next pre-test will take place on Sunday 11 April 2027.
The training session lasts approximately 2 hours and takes place between 13:00 and 19:00. You will be notified of the exact start time by email after the closing date.
Location: 11A Professor Romeinstraat, Tilburg
Clothing: Full IKMF kit is compulsory. From P2 onwards, shin guards are also compulsory.
The cost of the pre-test is €20 per level.
Afterwards, you’ll receive personalised feedback from the instructors, so you’ll know where you stand and what you can still work on in the run-up to the official exam.
You can register via the contact form. The deadline for registration is Sunday 28 March 2027.
Would you like to find out first whether you’re ready? If so, discuss this with your instructor.
You can find more information about the pre-test on the pre-test page:
Official IKMF examinations
Are you ready for the next step? During the official IKMF exam, you’ll demonstrate what you’ve learnt. Your techniques, understanding and skills will be assessed. If you pass, you’ll officially achieve your next Krav Maga level.
Depending on your level, the exam will take place at Taus Gym in Tilburg or as part of the national exam in Almere. To take part, you will need a valid IKMF membership compulsory.
