New course: Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS)

Resilience begins before physical violence

When it comes to self-defence, many people mainly think about what to do once a situation has already turned physical. In our regular Krav Maga classes, you’ll learn how to defend yourself effectively when violence can no longer be avoided. But often, a threatening situation begins much earlier.

With Threat Awareness & Response Skills (TARS) We focus specifically on the phase leading up to a physical confrontation. You will learn to recognise warning signs sooner, assess situations more effectively, communicate clearly and prevent escalation wherever possible.

These skills aren’t just valuable in threatening situations on the street. In everyday life, at work and when faced with online aggression or unwanted behaviour, TARS helps you to respond more mindfully, set clearer boundaries and make better choices.

During the course, we work with familiar real-life scenarios. There is also scope to discuss experiences and situations that participants are currently facing or have faced in the past. This ensures that the exercises are as closely aligned with real-life practice as possible, enabling you to learn skills that you can actually put into practice.

TARS and Krav Maga therefore complement each other well: TARS helps you to recognise threats earlier and prevent them from escalating, whilst Krav Maga teaches you how to respond should a situation turn physical. Together, they provide a broad foundation for personal safety and resilience.
